The story behind Westhampton Dog Co. — and the person who'll actually be walking your dog.
I was born and raised right here in Richmond, and the Libbie & Grove area has always felt like home. I've had a dog in my life for as long as I can remember — there was never a version of my childhood, or my adult life, without one curled up nearby.
Starting Westhampton Dog Co. wasn't a career pivot so much as putting a name on something I was already doing: showing up for the dogs in my neighborhood, rain or shine, and treating every one of them like my own.
When I'm not out on a walk, you'll probably find me over in The Fan, tracking down the best food the neighborhood has to offer.
I've handled everything from nervous rescues to boisterous 100-lb goofballs — here's some of what I bring to every walk.
From tiny, timid rescues to giant breeds who think they're lap dogs — I've handled dogs across the full size and temperament spectrum, and I adjust my approach to what each one needs.
Whether it's my own pack or a dog I'm meeting for the first time, every walk gets the same patience and attention.
Ask and I'll gladly connect you with other Libbie & Grove neighbors whose dogs I walk regularly.
I'm happy to provide references and pass a background check — trust matters, especially when it comes to your home and your dog.
My approach is calm, patient, and reward-based. No harsh corrections — just consistency and encouragement, especially for nervous or in-training dogs.
It's just me. One dog walker, one relationship, no rotating strangers. If you book with Westhampton Dog Co., I'm who shows up.
I'd love to meet you and your dog before our first walk together — no cost, no obligation.
